Articulate 360 AI Now Publishes Directly to Thinkific
Articulate announced a new Thinkific integration. Here’s what that means for customers of both companies.
Creating a course is only the first step to reaching your learning audience. The steps before publishing can be a slog: Export the SCORM package, download it, create a course shell in your LMS, and do the whole thing again every time the content changes. For teams managing large content libraries and multiple authors, that cycle can add up to burnout fast.
As of September 10, 2026: there’s a new, easier way to publish. Articulate 360 AI customers on a Teams plan can now publish courses directly to Thinkific with one click. This is Articulate’s first native integration with a third-party LMS, and it changes the workflow between creating training and getting it in front of learners.
What is Thinkific?
Thinkific is an award-winning learning management system (LMS) for delivering, reporting, and selling training at scale. Think of it like a delivery engine and learner experience platform. It’s where your learning content reaches your audience through branded learning programs that deliver exceptional learner experiences and drive powerful business outcomes.
TL;DR: Create engaging courses in Articulate, then distribute with Thinkific from your Rise dashboard.

Together, the platforms span the full journey from content creation to delivery, connected directly so your team doesn’t have to manage a manual handoff.
How it works
Setup is straightforward. An Articulate 360 Admin or Primary Admin opens the Integrations page in Articulate, enters the Thinkific site URL, and logs in via OAuth. Publish in one click when you’re successfully logged in.
From there, publishing is part of your normal workflow. The Articulate integration builds a SCORM package in SCORM 2004 4th Edition format and sends it directly to Thinkific. The course lands there as a draft, ready to review and publish to learners, with the title, description, and thumbnail from Articulate already in place.
When a course needs updating, you can click on a link in your Rise 360 tab in the course manager to return to Articulate. Re-publish from Rise, and the updated course goes straight to Thinkific. One thing to note: changes don’t sync automatically. Re-publishing triggers the update.
Thinkific is the source of truth for learner progress, certificates, and email. Articulate is the source of truth for course content.

Who the Articulate and Thinkific integration benefits
L&D creators know that training is never a side project; it’s a powerful operational function. This integration makes operationalizing training even easier while improving delivery and the learning experience and helping training professionals demonstrate business impact.
Teams delivering training to customers, partners, employees, or any audience at scale
If your organization runs a customer academy, trains partners or a channel network, onboards employees, or delivers certification programs, the integration is a great choice for you. The professional-grade delivery platform is designed to support the volume, branding, commerce, and reporting you need to drive meaningful results for your training. Your expertise shines when you create content in Articulate 360, and Thinkific handles everything that comes after: enrollment, learner experience, analytics, and outcomes.
Programs where SCORM compliance is non-negotiable
Consider this workflow when detailed training analytics are a must; e.g., compliance training, safety certification, accreditation-linked programs, and medical device training. Manually moving SCORM content between tools can break files and create errors that take time to troubleshoot. Articulate builds and delivers the SCORM package directly to Thinkific, reducing the risk of breaks in the manual process.
Teams updating content frequently
The more often your content changes, the more painful the manual export cycle becomes. If your team constantly iterates on courses, whether because your product changes, regulations update, or training programs evolve, removing the re-upload step from your workflow saves real time.
“Publishing a Rise 360 course today means generating a package, downloading it, and then uploading it into Thinkific and repeating that process every time the content changes. A direct integration will not only save time and reduce the opportunity for errors, but also make it much easier to keep our training accurate and up to date.” —Renee Tomlinson, Executive Director at ESCO Institute
When publishing to Thinkific might not be the right fit
A dedicated delivery platform may not be a fit if you create courses with minimal compliance or analytics needs. Thinkific is a great fit for organizations that run programs at scale, or who want to scale their growth. Those with small scale, or internal programs might not need this option.
The integration is also most useful when there’s a dedicated person responsible for the external training content. If course production is one of many responsibilities absorbed into an existing role, there’s typically less budget and less urgency to change the tooling.
