The company’s enablement team supports thousands of employees, partners, and customers worldwide. Their ongoing training covers the company’s full suite of tools and solutions, and includes complex products. This holistic approach helps users quickly adopt new features and updates. Through e-learning, the team empowers its broad global audience with flexible and effective courses. 

“We provide learning at your fingertips,” says a Sr. Technical Writer at the organization. “Webinars, e-learning, on-demand training—everything you need, when you need it.”

Historically, creating new e-learning courses, particularly for more complex updates, was a lengthy process. It required multiple SME interviews, extensive scriptwriting, and rounds of design revisions. On average, end-to-end course creation took 3–4 weeks.

To keep pace with its fast-moving product changes, the team needed a more agile way to create engaging, just-in-time training—especially for feature rollouts and migrations. They added AI Assistant to their existing Rise creation workflow to accelerate their output and elevate course consistency.

The Sr. Technical Writer used AI Assistant to generate first-draft lesson outlines from existing documentation, write quiz questions from lesson text, recommend images to match lesson themes, and adjust the tone of technical content to be more friendly and engaging.

“AI Assistant changed the game,” she says. “Suddenly, I wasn’t just keeping up—I was ahead of the curve.”

For her first AI-assisted course on a critical feature migration, the Sr. Technical Writer converted documentation from Product and Engineering SMEs into structured lesson blocks in Rise. She supplied source material and AI Assistant drafted knowledge check questions, learning objectives, and concise copy for introductions and feedback. In just two days, her team had reviewed content that previously took them weeks to refine.

“Our jobs aren’t going away,” she says. “Someone still needs to humanize the output. But with AI, we can be more productive. We can stay ahead.”

The results proved AI Assistant’s value. The feature migration course was ready for rollout in just five working days—60 percent faster than the team’s historical average. SME and peer review timelines dropped by more than half, and learners responded enthusiastically: 92 percent rated the course as “engaging” or “very engaging.”

AI Assistant’s audio features, she notes, were key to this engagement. She was impressed with how realistic the voices sounded, and even tested them on a few colleagues, who didn’t realize they were AI-generated.

“I’ve done professional voice acting work,” she says. “It takes a toll on your voice, and the sound varies from day to day. Articulate’s AI voices saved my voice and saved me time.”

Beyond efficiency, this shift also advanced the Enablement team’s mission to deliver powerful learning. With AI, audio updates that once required hours of re-recording are now instantaneous. “Previously, if a section changed, I’d have to re-record the entire voiceover,” the Sr. Technical Writer explains. “But now, with AI Assistant, I update a paragraph, and the audio is instantly refreshed. It enables us to include more audio, make content more accessible to more learners, and keep everything current without delay.”

Following the first project’s success, the enablement team plans to expand its use of AI Assistant to all product release training. Next up: Developing an AI style guide to ensure consistent tone and structure, and training instructional designers in prompt engineering to get the most value out of AI Assistant.
