Rede Américas is one of the largest private hospital networks in Brazil, operating 26 hospitals and 38 oncology units across seven states and the Federal District. Formed through a joint venture between Amil and Dasa, the network employs more than 30,000 people and is guided by a purpose it calls “Paixão por Cuidar”—a passion for care.

Tiago de Castro serves as Corporate Education Coordinator for Rede Américas, overseeing training for roughly 30,000 employees spanning nurses, nursing technicians, physicians, and patient-facing staff. His team manages the full production cycle: instructional design, graphic design, audiovisual production, and platform administration.
Before finding Articulate, the team tried a different authoring tool—and it didn’t work. The platform demanded deep technical expertise they didn’t have, and without it, they couldn’t produce training at the quality or pace the organization required.
The operational reality compounded the problem. Rede Américas doesn’t have enough instructor capacity to deliver in-person training to 30,000 employees across 26 locations. Asynchronous, self-directed training is a necessity. And that training needed to work on any device, in brief windows of time, for clinical staff who might have 30 or 40 minutes at a nursing station between patient interactions.
The team needed an authoring platform that was intuitive enough for a lean team to master quickly, flexible enough to support microlearning formats, and capable of producing professional-quality output without requiring deep technical knowledge.

After the first tool fell short, Rede Américas turned to Articulate—and found what they’d been looking for: an intuitive platform that didn’t require deep technical expertise to produce professional-quality training. “When we found Articulate, we saw the opportunity in an intuitive platform where we didn’t need deep technical knowledge to deliver a high-quality product,” he says.
Today, the company builds virtually all of its training in Articulate 360. The platform replaced the collection of separate tools the team had relied on for video production, voiceover, narration, and captioning—consolidating what had been a multi-step, multi-tool workflow into a single environment.
The centerpiece of this shift is a flagship training program—”O Jeito Rede Américas de Cuidar” (The Rede Américas Way of Caring)—a mandatory course for all 30,000 employees that establishes a unified standard for patient care across every hospital in the network. The course runs more than 10 hours in total but is structured as a series of short knowledge modules, so employees can complete segments in the time they actually have: short periods between patient visits, on a computer, phone, or tablet.
The training is fully responsive, designed to display correctly whether accessed on a desktop, tablet, or mobile phone. That responsiveness is what makes the program practically achievable for staff who may never sit at a workstation during a shift. Articulate 360 further accelerated production by enabling the team to handle voiceover, video, and captions inside the same platform, without sourcing outside talent or toggling between tools.
