What is company-wide training?
Company-wide training is learning that’s implemented across an entire organization, reaching every employee. Company-wide training can have many different goals, focusing on enhancing employee skills, ensuring compliance, embedding company values into the daily workflow, or fostering a more collaborative culture.
Example: Our most recent company-wide training aimed to foster collaboration by having us solve escape room puzzles in mixed-department groups.
Company-wide training and development can include common employee training program initiatives like soft skills training, technical training, leadership training, and compliance training.
Why is company-wide training important?
When corporate training programs involve the whole organization, several benefits will follow. Compliance training helps mitigate legal and financial risk by helping employees understand complex rules and regulations. Leadership training enhances the role of current managers while preparing the leaders of the future.
Technical skills training ensures a more productive and safer workplace environment, while soft skills training improves communication, enhances adaptability to change, and boosts problem-solving skills. While customer service training and sales training are often role-specific, they are useful on a company-wide level for employees interested in upskilling or reskilling.
