How do I install and update Studio 360?

We made it super simple to install and update Studio 360.

First, install the Articulate 360 desktop app and sign in with your Articulate ID email address and password.

Then, click the Install button for each app you want to install, such as Studio 360.

The Articulate 360 desktop app will notify you when updates are available. Just click the Update button for each app that has a new update.

Can I install Studio 360 on my Mac?

Mac users with Intel processors can install Studio 360 in Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or Apple Boot Camp. Apple M-series chips, we have updates here.

Is there a silent installer for Studio 360?

Yes. We've prepared an MSI file and a detailed deployment guide for centrally-managed installations of Articulate 360 apps. Contact us for details.

How do I activate Studio 360?

It's easy. Just sign into the Articulate 360 desktop app with your Articulate ID email address and password.

If you have an active subscription, Studio 360 will automatically work as expected. If your subscription has expired, Studio will no longer work, but you can re-enable it by renewing your subscription.

Do I have to be connected to the internet to use Studio 360?

Initially, you must be online to sign into the Articulate 360 desktop app, which allows you to install and use Studio 360. Thereafter, you can use Studio offline up to 99 days at a time (or 30 days for free trials).

If you're offline longer than 99 consecutive days, Studio 360 will stop working. To re-enable it, simply connect to the internet and sign into Articulate 360.

As long as you're online, you can use Studio 360 without interruption. If you go offline (for example, when you're traveling), the 99-day clock begins, allowing you to use it offline. The 99-day clock resets each time you connect to the internet and sign into Articulate 360.

My organization doesn't allow internet access at all. Can I use Articulate 360 offline?

Initially, you must be online long enough to sign into Articulate 360 and install the desktop-authoring apps, such as Studio 360. Then you can use the apps offline up to 99 days at a time (or 30 days for free trials).

If you're offline longer than 99 consecutive days, the apps will stop working. To re-enable them, you'll need to connect to the internet long enough to sign into Articulate 360, which resets the 99-day offline clock.

Can Studio 360 be installed on the same computer with previous versions of Studio?

No. If you have Studio '13, it'll automatically be uninstalled when you install Studio 360. If you have Studio '09 or earlier, you'll need to manually uninstall it first, and then you can install Studio 360.

Can I upgrade my existing Studio '09 and Studio '13 projects to Studio 360?

Yes. Just open your existing projects with Studio 360, then confirm that you want to upgrade them when prompted. It's that easy.

And don't worry. Backup copies of your original project files will automatically be made in case you need to go back later.

No. Studio 360 projects can't be opened, edited, or published with previous versions of Studio.

How does the responsive player work?

The all-new responsive player will automatically display when you view Studio 360 HTML5 courses on tablets and smartphones. It adapts to the screen size and orientation of any mobile device for the best viewing experience—no extra work required. Just publish your course and let the player do all the work for you.

When you view the same Studio 360 courses on desktop and laptop computers, the standard player will be used.
