Only Articulate Storyline has slide layers, triggers, and states—the features that let you create any type of interactivity you can imagine without programming. Can I install Studio products on my Mac?

You can install Studio products on Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or Apple Boot Camp. Published content can be viewed on Windows, Mac, or Linux platforms. Read best practices for using Parallels Desktop.

Can I upgrade from Studio to Storyline?

Storyline and Studio are distinct products, so there’s no discounted upgrade path. Studio customers can upgrade to the next version of Studio at a discounted upgrade price. If you buy Storyline, you can import Studio content to Storyline, protecting your investment in Studio.

How do I upgrade to Studio ’13?

When you’re ready to get your upgrade, make sure you have your serial numbers on hand then choose the option below that applies to you. Your order confirmation or activation e-mail will tell you if you have a Platinum Membership Plan subscription.

I bought one license of an Articulate Studio ’09 product (Articulate Presenter, Articulate Quizmaker, or Articulate Engage) during your free upgrade promotion. How do I upgrade to the ’13 version of that product?

The free upgrade promotion applies only if you bought Articulate Studio '09 Pro or Standard, not an individual product. You can buy an upgrade to that individual product in our store.

Will content created in Studio ’09 work in Studio ’13?

Yes, Articulate Studio ’09 content will work in Articulate Studio ’13 with a few exceptions. Articulate Engage ’13 will not support community interactions, so we recommend not bringing these into Articulate Studio ’13 courses. In addition, if you’ve created custom players in Articulate Presenter ’09, they aren’t currently supported in Articulate Presenter ’13. Articulate Presenter ’13 will apply the default player to the course. We’re working on supporting custom Presenter ’09 players in Presenter ’13 and will release the feature in a free software update soon.

What is new in Articulate Studio ’13?

What happened to Articulate Video Encoder?

We’ve added all the features and functionality from Articulate Video Encoder right into Articulate Studio ’13 products.

Is there support for localization in Studio ’13?

Articulate Studio ’13 products support double-byte character sets.

What are the system requirements for Articulate Studio?

You’ll need a PC with a 1.0 GHz processor or higher (32-bit or 64-bit), 512 MB minimum memory, and 512 MB minimum available disk space. You’ll need to have the Microsoft Windows operating system. Review the Articulate Studio tech specs for more detailed information.

What's the difference between Articulate Studio Pro and Articulate Studio Standard?

Articulate Studio Standard includes Articulate Presenter, Articulate Quizmaker, and Articulate Replay. Articulate Studio Pro includes all these plus Articulate Engage.
