Engage ’09 allows you to add hyperlinks to webpages, pictures, e-mail addresses, or programs. It also allows you to link text in your interaction to another step, event, segment, etc. in your interaction.

To add a hyperlink or branching to another part of your interaction:

  1. Highlight the text to link.
  2. Click the Hyperlink button.
  3. The Hyperlink window will open.
  4. Specify the following:
    • If you haven’t already done so, enter or edit the text to be hyperlinked in the Text to display field.
    • Click the radio button to specify if the link should Link to a URL or to another Step, EventSegment, etc. in your interaction.
      • If URL is selected, input the URL where you would like the link to go.
        • Click the green arrow button (->) to test the link in your browser.
      • If Step, EventSegment, etc. is selected, use the drop-down menu to select the place in your interaction where you would like the link to go. This is useful for creating branching scenarios in your interaction.
    • Click OK to create the hyperlink or branching link, or Cancel to exit without creating a link.

To edit or remove a hyperlink:

  1. Click or highlight the hyperlinked text.
  2. Click the Hyperlink button.
  3. The Hyperlink window will open.
  4. Edit settings by following the above instructions.
  5. Remove an existing hyperlink by clicking the Remove Link button.

Hyperlink keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+K.
