Articulate Presenter '09

You may find that some slides in a published presentation do not display text in the Notes panel of the sidebar even though there is text in the Notes pane in PowerPoint. This issue can occur if the presentation contains more slides than the Outline panel can display without scrolling.

This is a known issue. You can correct it, using either of the following methods.

Method 1: Use Notepad++

This is the quickest way to correct the issue. However, you'll first need to download and install the free Notepad++ program if you don't already have it.

1. Navigate to the folder where your published presentation is stored.
2. Open the data folder.
3. Open the presentation.xml file in Notepad++.
4. Go to the Search menu, and select Replace.
5. Copy and paste the following line of text into the "Find what" field:
   <NotesHeightSmall[>].*
6. Copy and paste the following line of text into the "Replace with" field:
   <NotesHeightSmall>550</NotesHeightSmall>
7. Under Search Mode, select Regular Expression.
8. Click the Replace All button.
9. You'll receive a notification of the number of occurrences that were replaced. Click OK.
10. Close the Find / Replace dialog.
11. Save and close the presentation.xml file.

Method 2: Use Notepad

If you'd prefer not to install the free Notepad++ program mentioned above, you can still correct this issue, using the pre-installed Notepad program on your computer.

1. Navigate to the folder where your published presentation is stored.
2. Open the data folder.
3. Open the presentation.xml file in Notepad.
4. Go to Edit > Find, and search for the following line of text:
   <NotesHeightSmall>
5. When you find <NotesHeightSmall>, change the number that appears immediately after it to 550.
6. Then click the Find Next button, and change the number after each instance of <NotesHeightSmall> to 550.
7. Save and close the modified presentation.xml file.
