Latest Version: Presenter '09 Update 9. Released March 22, 2013.
If you receive a message stating that your serial number is invalid when attempting to activate your Articulate software, it indicates one or more of the following issues:
To avoid mistyping the serial number, it's recommended that you copy the serial number as it appears in your product activation email, and paste it into the activation form.
Also, be sure to use the proper serial number for the product(s) you purchased. If you have more than one serial number, you can tell which serial number corresponds to which product by their prefixes:
| Product | Prefix |
| Storyline | SL1 |
| Presenter '09 | AP6 |
| Quizmaker '09 | QM3 |
| Engage '09 | EN2 |
| Video Encoder '09 | VE1 |
| Presenter 5 Professional | 5P |
| Presenter 5 Standard | 5S |
| Quizmaker 2 | 2Q |
| Engage 1 | 1E |
If more than one user attempts to activate with the same serial number on the same computer, you'll receive an invalid serial number message. Each user is required to activate with a unique serial number. Click here for more information.
If you continue to receive an invalid serial number message after addressing the issues above, you may be able to activate your software by temporarily disconnecting (or disabling) your Internet connection and using the manual activation method. Click on your product(s) below to learn how to use the manual activation method:
