If you have installed the PowerCom add-in for PowerPoint 2007, you may find that the Add Annotations and Record Narration features of Presenter '09 may not work properly.

To work around this conflict, you may need to temporarily disable the PowerCom add-in for PowerPoint while you are adding annotations or recording narration for a Presenter '09 presentation.  Here's how:

  1. Launch PowerPoint 2007.
  2. Click the Microsoft Office button in the upper left corner, and select PowerPoint Options.
  3. Select the Add-Ins.
  4. From the Manage drop-down list, select COM Add-ins, and click the Go button.
  5. Deselect the check box for PowerCom Add-in, and click OK.
  6. Restart PowerPoint.

To re-enable the PowerCom add-in:

  1. Launch PowerPoint 2007.
  2. Click the Microsoft Office button in the upper left corner, and select PowerPoint Options.
  3. Select the Add-Ins.
  4. From the Manage drop-down list, select COM Add-ins, and click the Go button.
  5. Select the check box for PowerCom Add-in, and click OK.
  6. Restart PowerPoint.
