Colors and Effects

You can create your own color schemes for your quiz, as well as define quiz behavior and audio effects.

To modify Colors and Effects:

1. From the Edit menu, select Colors and Effects.

2. If you wish to modify your quiz Color scheme, select from the drop-down one of the 11 preset schemes or create your own color:

1. Click the "..." button next to Background color to modify the background color of your quiz.

2. Click the "..." button next to Border color to modify the border color of your quiz.

3. Click the "..." button next to Text color to modify the text color of your quiz.

4. Click the "..." button next to Correct color to modify the correct text color in your quiz.

5. Click the "..." button next to Incorrect color to modify the incorrect text color in your quiz.

6. Click the "..." button next to Neutral color to modify the neutral text color in your quiz.

3. If you wish to modify your quiz Mouse over color, select from the drop-down one of the eight preset schemes or create your own color:

1. Select Custom from the drop-down list.

2. Click the "..." button next to Mouse over color to modify the mouse over color for your quiz.

4. If you wish to modify your quiz Timer colors, create your own color:

1. Click the "..." button next to Elapsed time color to modify the elapsed time color in your quiz.

2. Click the "..." button next to Remaining time color to modify the remaining time color in your quiz.

3. Click the "..." button next to Border color to modify the border color in your quiz.

5. If you wish to enable Likert Scale Tooltips, check the box to Display after X milliseconds and specify a number of milliseconds. To modify the tooltip colors:

1. Click the "..." button next to Background color to modify the background color of your Likert Scale Tooltips.

2. Click the "..." button next to Border color to modify the border color of your Likert Scale Tooltips.

3. Click the "..." button next to Text color to modify the text color of your Likert Scale Tooltips.

6. If you wish to modify your quiz Animation effects, select from the drop-down one of the three options:

1. Full (default): For each question, the header graphics will be fully animated.

2. Subtle: The header graphics on the first question will be fully animated. All subsequent question headers will have a subtle animation.

3. Off: No header graphics will be animated.

7. If you wish to modify your quiz Question transition style, select from the drop-down one of the two options:

1. Fade (default): When your user navigates from question to question, there will be a fade effect.

2. Cut: When your user navigates from question to question, there will be a quicker, cut effect.

8. If you wish to modify your quiz Sound effects, select from the drop-down one of the two options:

1. Enable (default): Your quiz will include sound effects. (Advanced tip: You can replace the default sound effects with custom sounds by replacing the files in the "sounds" directory of your output folder. For example, if you don't want the default audio associated with submitting an answer, overwrite "snd_answer_submit.mp3" with your own sound file, using the same name.)

2. Disable: Your quiz will not include sound effects.

9. Click the Preview button if you wish to preview your changes. Keep the following pointers in mind:

• You must have at least one question in your quiz in order to Preview changes to colors and effects.

• If your quiz has two or more questions, the Preview will show only two questions.

10. Click OK to save your changes to this quiz.

You can close the Colors and Effects editor at any time without saving your changes by clicking the Cancel button.
