Default Articulate needs a worldcommunitygrid.org team!

Hey everyone! Have you ever heard of grid-networking? If not, check it out at:

World Community Grid - Home

I've been using the site for a long time & have about over 310 days of run time. Essentially, you download software that can be run after your system has been idle for "X" number of minutes / hours. It does a lot of different calculations & then sends the data back to its servers. The calculations are used to help progress research on cancers, AIDS, and other things.

As big as the Articulate community is, I think it would be a nice gesture if Articulate supported it by creating a team. I'd create the Articulate team myself, but would prefer if someone like Gabe did it.

Here's some more info about the grid:

Our Mission, Our Work and You
World Community Grid's mission is to create the world's largest public computing grid to tackle projects that benefit humanity.

Our work has developed the technical infrastructure that serves as the grid's foundation for scientific research. Our success depends upon individuals collectively contributing their unused computer time to change the world for the better.

World Community Grid is making technology available only to public and not-for-profit organizations to use in humanitarian research that might otherwise not be completed due to the high cost of the computer infrastructure required in the absence of a public grid. As part of our commitment to advancing human welfare, all results will be in the public domain and made public to the global research community.

Good suggestion. Please keep us posted and share the team details if you'd like to set this up!

Just bumping this back up to the top again... After all of this time only three members from the Articulate community have joined the team, but we're rockin' anyways.

If you have a little idle computer time that you want to make useful consider joining the Articulate team.

Yeah, it's cool to check out our team stats and know that our excess processing power is going to good causes!

Did you know that you can install WCG on more than one computer & get credit for it? I have WCG installed on my work computer & my home computer.

Yeah, but what I want to know is how has Gabe been smoking me with less run time?

Maybe I've just got an old, slow computer?
