Just curious as to if anyone is using collaborative storyboarding software and if so, what are you using and how do you like it... A couple of options we are currently looking at are QMind and XStream RapidShare Storyboard, but are looking for other alternatives to review.
Anyone using a LCMS with this feature built in?

Hi Brian, I don't have a need for it, but an old colleague recommended CELTX. It's freeware for storyboarding a variety of different types of projects -- storyboards, audio-visual, film, etc.
You can download it here, if you like: celtx - Integrated Media Pre-Production Best Regards, Dave |

The obvious tool is PowerPoint. It is easy to learn and widely adopted software tool. We successfully use it for storyboarding AP and AE for online education lessons.
Instead of introducing your team to a new software tool. Use PowerPoint to storyboard the lessons. For example, we construct engage interactions first as powerpoint slides. Each slide is a placeholder for an engagement element (ie tab, label, or event). Then the engage is built from the story board we created with the slide deck. The placeholder slides are removed when the engage is published. GF |

I haven't fully reviewed this yet, but Unison has some collaborative storyboarding features.

What would be great would be a collaborative storyboarding solution that supported multiple output formats, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, XML, etc. This way you could use the published output however you wanted, like in Articulate for example. Thanks again, Brian

Hey, Brian!
I finally remembered the tool that we looked at years ago on this. It was called Designer's Edge. Back then it was from a company called Mentergy but eventually ended up at Allen Comunications. Not sure if it is still being made or not . . . Still can't remember if we liked it or not or all the features . . . Getting too old for this biz Best!

Thanks Gerry - Allen is a great company. I'll take a look at the tool.
