Hello:
Here is the issue: 1. When I receive a Power Point presentation from someone and view it using the Power Point slide show feature all of the hyper links within that presentation work. When I publish the presentation using Articulate the hyper links still function correctly. 2. When I create my own Power Point presentation and view it using the Power Point slide show feature the added hyper links function correctly. However, when I publish my own presentation using Articulate the hyper link functions DO NOT work. 3. I am using the same Articulate player template for both my presentations and for the one's I receive ( so nothing really changes). I am using Power Point 2007. I have even tried saving the courses as 97-2003 compatible (which is what I am receiving mostly from others). Still nothing. I recently upgraded Articulate to 5.3.1 (thanks to the suggestion by another on this forum) Needless to say, I am pretty frustrated at this point. Any suggestions/fixes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brennan |

What are your hyperlinks specifically doing? Is the content going to be hosted online? If so you may want to test the presentation online. Your content may not function as expected when viewing on your local drive due to Flash Player and web browser security issues.

Are you adding hyperlinks to the images that are SmartArt or use the 3D effect in PPT 2007?
If so, see Gabe's post about PPT 2007. Quote:
If that's not the issue let us know. Maybe we can help. |

Justin and doofdaddy:
First let me say thanks for your responses and suggestions. Justin - I took your advice and corrected the security warnings with Flash Player. Here is what is still happening. When I view a Point Presentation using the Slide Show view in Power Point, all text that were converted to hyperlinks work properly. After publishing the presentation with Articulate some of the links still work and some do not. I cannot understand why all the links work in Power Point slide show but only some work when viewing the published presentation in the Articulate viewer. Any input would still be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bren |

I'm still not clear on what the hyperlinks are doing? Are they going to a url? To a specific slide in the presentation? A file? What are the hyperlinks that aren't working supposed to be doing?

Hi Justin:
Sorry. All the links in the published presentation are supposed to be going to url's. |

Could you do a one slide PPT example of urls that aren't working and upload it so we could take a look?
Did you test the published output online? Some functionality such as hyperlinks can be effected by Flash Player security when viewed locally.

Hey Justin:
Now my Power Point presentations are getting scrambled a bit when I publish them. The items that are getting scrambled are title boxes (the text is being moved around in the title box) and bulleted/number lists. After publishing, some of these lists (not all) have even disappeared. I read the posts on the forum regarding overlapping boxes (I don't have any). I also tried your suggestion regarding saving as html and then ppt (did not work). Nor did the re-importing the slides while keeping source formatting. I have spent hours trying to figure this out. I would suggest submitting a support case so we can take a closer look at the issue.

Hi!
I met the same problem. If you just copy your zip fil (when it published) in an other folder, and then click on the player.html, hyperlinks supposed to work well. You just have to copy and past your output elsewhere on your computer. I hope it'll work! Ladyjo |
