Default Wednesday Community Chat

An old elearning company I used to work for had "Hump Lunch" every Wednesday -- that day being the middle of the week, or the hump, of course -- which was a great way to connect with colleagues and chat about our projects, our competition, and whatever else was on our minds.

Inspired by this ChatMaker technology I came across today (see my post here), I want to use it to try something new that's been in the back of my mind for a while -- an informal live chat session with you.

So this Wednesday, July 18 at 12:30pm U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4), grab your lunch (or breakfast, if you're on the West coast), meet me in this virtual chat room, and tell me what's on your mind -- perhaps what you like about our products, what frustrates you about them, or even any ideas you might have for us (products, support, this forum, etc.).

And if you're not yet a customer, it will be a great opportunity to ask all your burning questions.

I can't promise that I'll be able to address any support issues you may have on the fly, but we'll see how it goes and how many people show up. I'll even invite some of my colleagues to the chat. And who knows? If it takes off, perhaps we can make this a regular thing.

What do you think?

Hope to chat with you on Wednesday!

Sounds fun! I'll be there!

Thanks, Gabe! Good inititive to try. We were considering the same thing for supporting our people with the LMS and all.

Best!

Justin, I'll have to say you blow everyone away this time around on avatars (even Gerry!).

Gabe / Justin, once again, thanks for setting up the chat. It was great to jump online with other forum users over the lunch break.

I think it was productive. I've already talked with Gabe about some things that I think will make it even better so hopefully we can make this a regular chat group.

Yeah, thanks to everyone who joined us! We had about a dozen people, and we chatted for an hour about everything from future product releases to Flash Player support to Justin's avatar.

I think it was a great way to connect informally with everyone, and I'll look forward to the next one (stay tuned)!

Hi, Dave!

Any times work best for you? For what we do internally for virtual meetings, we usually alternate from early in the morning for us one time and later in the day next time to try and catch our international colleagues.

Actually, the best part of the chat was when everyone wanted to imitate Gabe by changing their usernames, when Gabe was talking to Gabe A.

Best!
