Default Product Support ---Why No Search?

Just wondering what happened to the search function in the new product support section? Is it coming later? Is it gone forever?

Seems strange that the only way to access the Knowledge Bases are by browsing. Ideally, wouldn't you want both?

Gabe?

Thanks!

- Gerry

I can't speak for Gabe but I do know we are working to add a more comprehensive search mechanism in place. Hopefully you will be seeing it soon!

Yes, it's coming, don't worry... it will be back and better than ever before too much longer.. we're just working out some final kinks. It's actually going to be a big improvement over any search we've ever had before.. I'm really excited to roll it out.

Stay tuned...

OK, so you'll notice that support search is back, but it's NOT yet the "big improvement over any search we've ever had before."

We're still working out some issues on our new and improved search engine, so what you see now is to hold us over until we get there.

Well, Gabe, now you're ratcheting up our expectations--this new search better be the best thing since "sliced beer and canned bread."

Actually, it's the new more prominent MVP graphic that has me scratching. We folks in Woebegon Minnesota are shy, retiring Norwegian bachelor farmer-like--you betcha--and not prone to such "flash."

Best!

But really, is anything better than beer and bread?

Hope you like the new MVP bling!

So you're saying that in the near future, when I search for a word, organizing results by relevancy, the first thread in the results list will actually have that word in it, not the 31st thread? That would be greatly appreciated.

Not to sound overly critical (or to shatter your view of the "shy, retiring Norwegian" type people fount in Minnesota), because I do find good information out here, but the search time is a bit frustrating.

Yeah, you betcha.

Good news: We're getting there and there's now an opportunity to help us beta test our awesome new search!

I just posted more info right here, so let me know in that thread or this one or via PM if you'd like to help beta test the new search technology.
