Hi Kuldeep - You can purchase the SDK here: http://store.articulate.com/ProductD...uctCode=AP-SDK

Please know this is only the documentation, hooks and variables necessary for accessing the custom player. This is not the actual player.fla file.

This is how James was able to modify the player in the example I listed above. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask before purchasing.

p.s. your screenshot didn't attach. Can you try re-attaching so we can see what you're trying to do?

Thanks!

Excellent content. I always enjoy the tips from Articulate on better ways of doing things. From the examples you provided, I found an alternative way of doing the icon-navigation in Powerpoint. This method uses the icons on the master slide with masking filter objects to cover the related icons on the associated Powerpoint slides. The slide advance on mouse click feature had to be disabled so that clicks on the masking filters would not advance the slide. One benefit from this method is that should the navigation icons be changed on the master slide, nothing needs to be done on the regular Powerpoint slide (unless the positions or sizes change). Attached is a short demonstration.

baby step question: How did you obtain and/or create the icons? I have an idea for a nav tool using icons like you have shown here, but can't figure out how to get a consistent looking set of icons.

Hello Rob,

These icons are in the image format and placed in the mater slide. We have linked the corrosponding pages to the respective icon. we can navige from one page to other page by clicking on the icons. You can disable perticuler icon by inserting 50% white opecity patch so your can not click and icon would be in disable format. please let me know if you have other optional way for navigation.

@doctor rob - Those icons were purchased from iStock and were part of a collection. To your question on how to design a consistent look and feel for graphics, one of the first places to start is your color palette.

A lot of designers will first select the colors they want to use on a project and delete the other colors. Or, use the selected colors on the current slide and sample only those colors as needed.

The challenge for those working right out of PowerPoint, or any application, is the default color palette is just that: a starting point. Most graphics will work with variations of a few colors.

Here's an example of a color palette. It doesn't matter what it looks like, the point is to select the colors you'll use and work from only those colors.
