Hi, Am new to articulate so this may be a long winded question sorry but would appreciate any help.
Our business only has 2003 powerpoint and 2009 articulate. This is the scenario of the presentation I'm doing to give you a background. An image of a customer will be displayed with an explanation that your new customer is wanting to know about a product. To recommend the right product for their need you want to ask them a series of questions with which the answers will help determine which product you recommend. So for the training I wanted to have a list of questions that the learner selects. When they select a question it will take them to another slide which explains if that is the correct answer and why etc. This is easy I know. What I'm wanting to know is if there is a way that when the learner clicks the back button or where ever I tell them to can it take them to a page which has the initial list of questions but the one they have previously selected is now highlighted to show they have already chosen this one and any others they have selected. What adds to the difficulty is that if at the beginning where they are provided the list of questions if they say choose questions in a random order to what you expect them to. So if they choose the fourth question first, when they click the back button I still want it to take them to a screen which shows the list of questions with the one they selected highlighted to show they have done that one. Then for the end I also want it to go to a particular slide when they have selected all the correct questions. So the second part to this question is can you make it so it knows to go to a particular slide once the person has chosen all the right questions? Hope this all makes sense and am wanting to know if this can be done and if so, how do I do it? Thanks |

Vicki,
I believe you can just do this in Quizmaker and set your branching. If you set Quizmaker to show the list of questions in its dropdown (question List Navigation Panel, select this in PLayer Templates), then when the user answers a question, you can just send them to a slide that has the feedback you want. THe slide can then tel them to click the dropdown to go to the next question. The dropdown will have a checkmark by the questions they have already completed. Then when they have completed all, the last quiz screen will come up. You can convert the Pass/Fail Results screens into whatever you want as you have them exit the quiz to give them more instructions if necessary. With this route, there is not really a back button per se. They can look back at an already completed question if they choose but they can't re-submit unless they finish and take the quiz again or refresh and start over. Let me know if you need a bit more clarity on how this is done. Robert

Thanks Robert,
I tried following your instructions but came a little unstuck sorry. When they click on a question to ask the customer I use the branching to send them to another slide but it's when they go back to the original slide when all the questions on that it highlights the question they picked but then it doesn't allow them to select another question. Have I done it wrong or missed something? |

If you branch someone away from a question they answered, they won't be able to retake the question. You would need to use the built in feedback option for each question and allow them to retake the question X number of times:
