I inhereted a course that is in the middle of being built. The design calls for a flash banner at the bottom of each slide. When you roll over the button a text box flies up (covering part of the content on the slide). Also, there are several slides that will need to have additional flash. I know that I can't have more than one swf on a slide so I am wondering if there is anything I can do with creating a slide master containing the flash banner. Someone also suggested to me that I could publish then change the XML file but I have no idea where to begin.
I am running into a couple of problems. First, the bottom banner needs to appear in front of the content of each slide, other wise you won't be able to read the fly out when you roll over. And, the banner ultimately needs to have a transparent background. (Hooray, finally figured this part out!) Second, I was able to insert my swf onto a slide and it works perfectly unless I need to add another swf to that particular slide. Then only one of the swfs shows up when I publish. My question is, what is the best way to incorporate this flash banner onto each slide in a way that still allows me to add additional flash on certain slides. Any help would be appreciated! I am new to articulate. Thanks! |

Hi Whirlwheel,
I am pretty sure you can do this by adding your banner to the master slide. But the master slide part will have to be done outside Presenter. The article below explains how it can be done. How to Create A Background Animation For Articulate Presenter - Daveperso’s eLearning Blog You'll be able to show or hide the banner as needed by selecting that particular master slide and your Flash banner will appear on top of the rest of the slide (not sure about any other SWF you have on that slide). You'd probably want to use the commmands from the SDK to create the Flash banner navigation. Regards
