Default Concurrent Quizzes and TotalLMS 7.2

For a required course with 3 quizzes, I developed the PPT deck so that after Quiz 1 there was a PPT slide to introduce Quiz 2. The SME asked me to change it so that Quiz 2 came directly after Quiz 1. (And, Quiz 3 directly after Quiz 2.)

This request came late in the project, and I did not have time to put the Quiz 2 and Quiz 3 questions and feedback into Quiz 1 (so it would all be just one Quizmaker quiz).

So, the setup is:

PPT slide introducing Quizzes
* Quiz 1 on PPT slide 25
* Quiz 2 on PPT slide 26
* Quiz 3 on PPT slide 27

We've gone live today, and had about 5 Help Desk calls saying the Quiz "hangs" either at the end of Quiz 1 or the end of Quiz 2.

The way I wanted to set up the quizzes worked in 2007 with a similar required course. No Help Desk calls regarding the quizzes.

Question: With Quizmaker and SumTotalSystems TotalLMS 7.2, is it recommended to have a PPT content slide inbetween the quizzes?

This course is not scored, so the SCORM 1.2 Reporting and Tracking are:
* Report Status: Completed/Incomplete.
* Track using number of slides viewed (defaults to 2nd to last slide).

And, they must go through the quizzes.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts, advice, help you can offer!

Note: My course has navigation controls in the PPT slides <Back> and <Next> buttons.

That would be my suggestion. Place a slide in between each quiz and have the finish actions for pass/fail go to that slide.

Thanks, Justin.

Is that a general best practice for Quizmaker?

(Again, it's interesting that the 2007 version had no issues with the quizzes, and this year's does. But, the error is not occurring on everyone's PC, only a few. We are checking their PC and browser (IE) settings as each person calls.)

We also have not applied any upgrades/patches/fixes to our AR Studio since we purchased it last year.

I'm guessing we should do that, correct?

The reason why I think that is a good suggestion is that quizzes are not preloaded by Presenter so if you have a slide that preloads between content that doesn't preload then that would be a good idea. The latest versions of Presenter are:

Vista and/or PPT 2007 - 5.3
XP PPT 2003 or earlier - 5.2

Here's another tip, turn off the prompt to resume in the player template:

Great article. And, so is this one:

"9 Ways to Troubleshoot Articulate and LMS Issues"

These 2 blog articles would be great additions to the online HELP in the new versions for 2008!!
