HI,
I tried a number of different methods of converting to MP4 (including the site you recommended), and none of them are recognized by Quizmaker. They are, however, being recognized by Presenter. I have a rather weak understanding of codecs. Would you know if there were any reason for it being recognized by one and not the other? Joe |

If the file works in Presenter, then it should be working in Quizmaker as well. It might be a good idea to update your codecs by installing the Media Player Codec Pack: Media Player Codec Pack - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com After installing it, restart your computer & try to import the file into both Presenter and Quizmaker again. Please let me know if this resolves the issue.

HI Brian,
No. Still doesn't work (I used both Replay Conveter as well as the site you listed upthread) When I try to import into Presenter, I do get a message saying "it uses a video codec that may not be supported or play in the Flash Player), but then it imports the file anyway (and works in Preview, at least). Quizmaker just tells me that it "does not appear to be a supported movie format. Please select . . . " For what is worth, I am converting the file to MPEG-4 (.h264) 200 kbps -- but I have tried other sizes too. And Presenter does accept without any problems an FLV, but the only format I can get Quizmaker to accept is a SWF. It's not super important: now I am just curious if I am doing something wrong... Would you mind submitting a support case to use for review by using the link below? Articulate Support - Contact After you have submitted the case, you'll receive an email on how to upload files to your case. Follow those instructions and upload the MP4 file and your quiz files. The support team should be able to help you resolve the issue.

I still have to get a chance to submit a case, but I wanted to let people interested in this issue about this thread . Importing the audio into presenter, then publishing, then inserting the SWF for the slide with the audio into Quizmaker is the best way I have found to create a "sound button" in Quizmaker (you can customize PP slide so the "button" appears as you want...

Thanks for the tut - very slick - I can think of several situations where I could use this in some of my quizzes. I have Macromedia Flash so I could record it there and insert the .swf, but your idea with screenr is even easier and I like the controls that are available.
Thanks again Quote:
