Hi,
I am new around here, and trying to suck up as much information as possible, before making a decision on which LMS / Quiz/Course building software to use. I currently checking out the possibility of using:
Is there available a collection of demo scorm material made with quizmaker 09 which i can download and import into LMS's to test, built using the latest versions of Quiz Maker? Simple tests etc. I have seen a few on the moodle site, but i can't be sure what version of quiz maker produced them, and when testing i am not sure if they are reporting scores correctly. It would save a lot of time and trouble and expense for somebody like me who doesn't currently have office to install the trial software. ![]() Last edited by NuttyProfessor : 06-23-2009 at 05:12 AM. |

Hi NuttyProfessor,
Love the pseudo! You actually don't need Office to install Quizmaker '09. It runs independently. So you should be able to run some tests quite easily. Just publish to SCORM 1.2 or AICC and upload to Moodle as usual. The same applies to Engage '09. If you want to test scoring with Presenter '09 then you will need Office. You can download a sixty-day trial of Office to test your trial version of Articulate here. I really think making your own content is going to be the best way to test Articulate on Moodle so that you can be fully satisfied it works to your liking. Regards

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your response, I didn't realise it was a stand alone, so thats good, I will download and make some mock tests and see how things progress. It's turning out to be quite a hard decision, but i am hoping all works out good, rapid-building of courses is what i am looking for and quiz-maker / presenter etc looks like it could fit the bill. Articulate online looks great, but I am really looking for a self-hosted/managed solution, moodle being the main point of focus at the moment, My decision will be based on the amount of customisation i have control of. I have a team of very good php programmers so maybe we will have a look at developing some scorm functionality ourselves also (but timescale might rule that out for the time being). I am interested in any input from anybody that has a system built using moodle, I will have a thorough search through the forums to see what i can find. Thanks for your help. Lee |

Hi Lee,
Kineo have done some absolutely outstanding customizations of Moodle which work great with Articulate. I was fortunate enough to see a number of demos at the Articulate Conference in Leeds earlier this year. So perhaps your developers will be able to achieve similar results? You can visit a Kineo demo Moodle site and the first demo is a superb Articulate presentation so I would check that out too. Notice the video built into the Moodle interface. Regards
