Currently, QuizMaker only communicates with the LMS once the content window has been closed. We're having some learners go right back to the LMS to check the score as soon as they get to the finish screen of quiz maker. Once the learner goes back to check the score, the LMS closes the window of quizmaker and doesn't listen for the SCORM calls. The learner has to manually close the quizmaker window in order for the LMS to capture the status and score. So, does anyone know of a way to get quizmaker to send the results as soon as the finish screen comes up instead of just setting the status and score?
Thanks, Jason |

Hi Jason,
A workaround to this may be to make it very clear to the student on the Finish slide that their score is NOT recorded unless they click on the Finish button. You could write: Warning: Do not leave this page until you have clicked on the Finish button. Or change the wording of the Finish button to something like "Send Results". You can edit the layout and wording on the Results pages by clicking on the Slide View button in the Pass Results and Fail Results slides, and change the wording of the Finish button in Player Templates -> Edit -> Text Labels Regards

Dave,
Thank you so much for following up. Our issue however is that even when we click Finish, the results do not get sent back until the actual window is closed. So, I'd had to write something to the effect of, "Please make sure you click the X in the upper right window of this training in order to get credit for this course." We have about 35 developers that use Articulate, so we'd have to create a template and pass that Quiz template to all of our developers and hope they follow the new updated template rules. If you have any other ideas, I'd be all eyes/ears. :-) Thanks, Jason Smith |
