I have just re- created the issue again as mention by another user that got this response from she got his from (you guys)Articulate support:
I have been communicating with the Articulate Forum and the customer service for some time. After all the finger pointing to the LMS, and to IE7, there may be a bug in the resume feature in the Quiz Maker. Here is the last post I received to my question: Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** Unfortunately the issue you encountered appears to be a bug with resume so I think you would have to live without the user being able to resume the quiz or separate the quiz from the content and have that be a separate content item in your LMS. *************** Sher happens to being using the same version of Moodle as I am. So that's 2 times that the problems has been reported and re -created. Separating the two is not an acceptable solution because a lot of you developers and weekly blog/forums encourage the e - learning developers to use these products together. |

We market the Accord LMS and have had to add a special setting for "Do Not Allow Resume" in our Learning Event settings to override this Articulate bug.

Wylie,
That's good to know but I think we all want a fix rather making custom hacks to our LMS's. |

Hey Guys,
It sounds like there are a couple of issues here. First issue from Javier. Javier was concerned that upon relaunching a course, if someone selects to NOT resume, we don't clear the existing CMI data. So I can see your point here Javier, but if we did clear out all the previous data that would entirely wipe out the users last session. What some Learning Management Systems do is record all attempts, instead of trying to update the attempt, just log them both regardless of whether it was a resumed attempt. The reason this would probably be better is if someone choses not to resume, and were just looking to review everything would have been blown away. Anyway, if you don't like this idea ping me via a direct message and we can discuss further. Second issue form Wylie. Wylie you mentioned: Quote:
Third issue from Paco. Paco you mentioned: Quote:
You mentioned you had spoken with our customer support department? If so can I get the case number, I'll look it up and contact you and I can go from there. As an FYI, we test the resume functionality in a whole host of Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Saba, Dokeos, TestTrack, Articulate Online, GeoLearning, and many more I am forgetting at the moment). I know this doesn't help you, I just don't want there to be any perception that it isn't something we tested heavily. Fourth from Wylie. Wylie you mentioned: Quote:
Anyway, I hope this helps guys, and please don't hesitate to contact me further about this.
