Problems when embedding Captivate 4 swfs

One of our users has found that he was able to create his project in Captivate 4 and then open the same project in Captivate 3 and publish from there! That solved the syncing problems he was having with Presenter.

Adobe have also released a patch that addresses other issues including the echoing.

I think that Articulate will soon be friends with Captivate 4 again ... soon. We need to wait for the new update to Presenter '09 which I understand is imminent.

Regarding your post with opening Cap4 projects in Captivate 3 -- I have never been able to do this at all? Even Captivate says that their projects are not backwards compatible.

We ran into the same project when half our SMEs had Captivate 4 and we needed to "scrub" them before integrating into Articulate which forced us to get the upgrade.

I assume theres been no resolution on the playback controls? Or a resolution date?

Hm... could be ActionScript 3.0. Try outputting Fash 8 compatable content so that you know there's no AS3.0. I have to do with Adobe Presenter.

I found the same sync issue with the popular screen recording software Quarbon ViewletBuilder6 Pro as well. This product is comparable to Captivate 4. You can use it to record software demos and simulations. When a SWF file published from this software is inserted on a PPT slide using Articulate Presenter, the Articulate player controls do not sync up with the inserted SWF file. You cannot control the SWF file using the player controls. I'm using Articulate Presenter '09 v6.2.907.1413 Pro. Will there be an update to the Articulate Presenter software to address this issue, like in the case of Captivate 4?
