I was curious if anyone has ever tried to edit the presentation.xml document. I have a client that wants to add a document to a course, but is having trouble locating the "most updated" PowerPoint.
The documents seem to be located at the beginning of the presentation.xml file with a straight forward structure. I have opened it in both Dreamweaver and notepad and attempted to make the change and both have had disastrous results (the entire file becomes corrupted. I did a second experiment where I edited one character in one file name, and again it wrecked the course. Is this file not editable or am I just using the wrong programs. |

Hi Dan. Many of us here have edited the presentation.xml file with good results. Some apps will save the XML file in a way that makes it unusable with AP. One very safe app is Notepad--which I use regularly for this task.
