Default New file "player_backup.html" created at Publish

Publishing for LMS, I have noticed a new file called player_backup.html being created in the root of the directory. I don't recall this in Articulate 5.

Can someone tell me what this file is being used for?

That's the backup that was created when you ran the Flash 10 Updater.

Justin, that answers when it was created. But, what is the purpose of this file? Is this simply a backup of the original player.html file (as the name might suggest), which can be deleted once the Flash 10 update has been verified?

Thanks for the clarification.

Actually Justin that is incorrect. I have never used (or even downloaded) the Updater. The backup.html file is being created when a presentation is published for an LMS using Articualte 09.

I'm not bothered by it, and when you open it it just starts the course in a presized window in the browser I was just curious what the purpose of it is and whether I can just delete it.

If you didn't run the Flash Updater then someone did or someone made a back up the player.html file manually for some reason. The Flash Updater makes a backup of all files it updates in the event that something goes wrong.
