Default Font & Other Quirky Issues

I have upgraded to ppt 2007 and am having some weird issues.

1. I have some slides where I have a box covering a text box and then is set to disappear and reveal the text as narrated. Unfortunately what is happening is as the slide starts, the covering boxes aren't there and then appear. So really the text that I want covered is shown. Is there a solution for this. I have a picture showing how these 3 slides look.

2. I have text boxes where only half the text appears - as if it is too long but it's not.

3. My text is very distorted on some slides. It looks terrible especially becuase it is in a series of slides so it keeps changing. There are also strange spacing and allignmnent issues.

Of course when viewed in ppt, none of these issues exist.

How did you create your images? Smart objects? Here are some ideas that could help - text seems to work best in text boxes and not in the objects themselves. Sometimes right clicking the objects and saving as a picture, then reinserting that saved object/picture, takes care of those PPT2007 quirks.
