Default Animations not working when published

I have audio on a slide. I am using the Fade animation for about 6 graphics on that slide. I am using the Sync animation function in the articulate drop down to sync the timing of the graphics appearing with the audio. When I replay the slide in the Sync animation mode, it looks fine. When I publish the presentation, the 6 graphics are immediately visible on that slide. There is no animation. Any ideas?

I'm not the creator of the presentation, but it appears that the objects I'm animating in are rounded rectangles from the drawing toolbar with a two-color fill and text.

Actually, taking a closer look, the diagram button on the drawing toolbar was used to create these shapes so that an organizational chart could be made. I'm trying to animation each level of the chart. Works fine in Sync Animation mode. When published, the entire chart appears.

What version of PPT are you using? Saving the individual elements as pictures and then re-inserting them helps give you more control over those kinds of objects. I know that's a pretty easy fix in PPT 2007, but I cannot remember if that is a feature in 2003. Also - if you are using connectors - I know some of them (especially the curved ones) can have some pretty unpredictable outcomes in articulate.
