The issues I mentioned with FTP have been resolved, and we've updated the download available in the Knowledge Base entry: Why are my presentations not loading with Flash Player 10?

And thanks for clarifying, Pat. Does S3 support FTP protocol (if not FTP clients)?
Now that we've updated the updater, it might be worth giving it a shot - if you can input a server URL and username/password for your S3 account.

Of course that would work, that's how we got the presentations up on Amazon S3 in the first place. Anybody that's using FTP could do the same thing with their account. Download the presentations, run the update, reupload them again. But Articulate created a Flash 10 updater tool that did all that dirty work for us. I was looking for a much easier solution and one that would support using Amazon S3 with Articulate in the future. Who knows whats going to happen with Flash 11. We already have tons of presentations running from S3 and to manually download/fix/upload is not something most companies want to do now or in the future. But thanks for stating the obvious. Thanks, -- Pat |

Is the updater compatible with 2003 Server? It installed fine but, the updater app was not running. Can this update be done manually?

Hi mx- I've run the updater directly / locally on one of our Windows 2003 servers and it worked just fine. Did you receive an error message?

Unfortunately, no. It just apears not to run when you launch the app.

Hey Moto,
Can you please look for a file named "updater.log" in this folder and post it here? C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Articulate\Flash10Updater Thanks Arlyn |
