Question Point Sec Data Security

I don't KNOW that it has anything to do with Articulate Presenter, but it's the only thing that I have on my laptop that no one else has. I've crashed and burned four times in the last two or three months. I'm just trying to figure it out.

I work in a corporate environment that requires a security package called Point Sec be installed for those of us who work remotely. The only thing I have on my laptop that other remote workers do not have is the Articulate Presenter add-on for PowerPoint. Does anyone else use Point Sec with Articulate Presenter?

Essentially, my laptop locks up. When I reboot, I have the blue screen of death telling me that I have a problem with Windows. When I reboot I get thrown to the same screen. If I use F8 and try to use Safe Mode of any variety to reboot, I get the same blue screen.

Any ideas would be most welcome.

Debbie

Hi Debbie. I have had Pointsec installed w/ Articulate for a couple of years now and never ran into such a problem.

I can say that Pointsec can be flakey and I do know a few people who ran into this problem. Sometimes a re-install/re-image of the PC was in order. Other times, a new hard drive seemed to be the only remedy.

HTH,
Phil

I would also write down the error you see when you do see the blue screen and let us know what it says. A lot of blue screens are caused by device drivers, etc... and not necessarily software related.
