Hi.
I have been trying to use custom bullet points in my presentation. They show fine in my powerpoint, but when I publish in articulate they turn out to be the ugly black dot. I am using .gif image as bullet point symbol. Any suggestion on how to have my custom bullet points symbols in my final presentation? Thanks |

Yes, image bullets are not supported: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb/000555.php
A variety of workarounds are available that may help--use an image and paste it over the regular bullet in the PowerPoint (you may need to group it with you bullet text if it doesn't align right after publishing, create the slide in something that can generate Flash and use that, use a web obect, etc. Best.

Isn't that too much work to just ad simple bullet points to a presentation?
I mean, is not like we are using a free software, it is an quite expensive one. Is there any workaround or hack or patch? using images and aligning them to my current bullets is not acceptable, it is time consuming and will look mediocre. Thanks ![]() |

Hi,
Don't know of any other solution yet. You're right, it is "painful" work to do. You may want to file a feature request on this with Articulate for their consideration: http://www.articulate.com/support/contact/feature/

How about using a wingding or webding character for your bullet points (assuming there is one suitable). I've tested it - it works...

That's fine as far as it goes. But what about corporate "branding" issues? What if a company's official PowerPoint template uses image bullets and and that template is mandated for all presentations, including webcasts? That would be a problem. The irony of ironies is that Macromedia Presenter 5.0, which had a lot of RoboPresenter code (which in turn had been licensed by Articulate and was based on Articulate Presenter 4.0), could do image bullets -- and that was three years ago. If you look at old posts, people have been complaining about this for several years now. Why was this never fixed in a patch?
