Hi Cyberslam. Compiling your presentation to an EXE could help solve your problems. This thread gives more information.

This does not really address your problem but I have noticed that if you publish to LMS (output non zip), you can preview your web objects within your publication without having to delete the offending file in player.html. It makes life quicker and easier. However, you still have the ActiveX warning though I reckon there is a way of removing that too.

There is a way of stopping the Active X warning on a local computer but you need to change the parameters in IE7. Options, Internet Options, Advanced, Security, and enable the third and maybe the fourth option if you are reading from a CD.

I have tried the EXE route as well but the attachments don't go well with it.
Anyways, i have a found a great solution to this. Anyone who is using AP files on a CD and is having a hard time with offending ActiveX warnings, i would suggest all of you to use a program called Server2Go. This program makes you run your files as hosted on a local host and hence gets rid of the ActiveX warnings. I have tried it and it works great. Finally, no more offending boxes of ActiveX ![]() |

Thanks for the great suggestion, Cyberslam! I've turned this into a new blog entry outlining a work-around to address CD playback issues:
How to Bypass Flash Security & Attachment Download Issues in CD Playback
