Really, it's for anyone who wants to create Flash rollover buttons for web pages or Articulate. It's still in Beta (read buggy) but it works. There's a link to it here, along with a Screenr discussion about how to use it. Feel free to let me know how many bugs you find so I can make it better.
My favorite thing about it is that it automatically sets up links to Articulate Presenter slides just by clicking a button. Anyhow, have fun with it, kids! |

Neat tool, thanks!
What I find what most SME developers here in my company want is a tool that creates rollovers that display text or graphics when moused over. Wish there was an easy tool for that. ![]()

Gerry, thanks for the kind words. Can you be a little more specific regarding the rollovers you are describing?

You are welcome.
As for the need, you roll your mouse over over a hotspot graphic and some formatted text and/or graphics and audio appears. A lot of folks here would like to be able to add something like that easily to their Presenter courses. They want that interactivity without the overhead of Engage--and without having to do this as two slides in AP, which requires you to "click" to get to the second slide. They want the mouseover instead. Most of my users here are SMEs, so I'm always looking out for them and beginners. An inexpensive tool that did that for them would be great. Even support creating a SWF with multiple hotspots on it. Help?

Hi, Gerry:
I've got something like that available over at eLearning Enhanced. It requires some XML editing to define the hotspots, tooltip text, and audio file to play, but nothing too taxing. The upshot is most of the work happens post-publish, so you don't have to republish the presentation each time you change your tooltips. Best, Brian |

Brian - does your tool allow for fonts colors, size and popup box color to be adjusted?

For simplicity sake, the tooltip picks up the color scheme defined in your player for the tooltip background and font color. Font size is fixed right now, but I think I'm going to make an update to allow that. Brian PS -- Should have an update soon that allows you to customize font size & color and the color of the tip background and border. If these aren't specified, then it defaults back to the player color scheme. Last edited by BrianHoule : 08-24-2010 at 04:33 PM. Reason: Update |

Hi, Karim:
Here's one in two parts from the eLearning Enhanced site. I should have the font size and color customization update posted today. Part I Part II |
