Hello everyone,
We implemented a new feature that allows you to embed a Screenr video directly into a forum post. Here's how to do it: 1. Create a new post or a reply 2. Type the following tag into your post: [screenr] 3. Grab the full embed code from your screencast on Screenr 4. Look for the unique id code in the embed code. The param name is flashvars followed by the value. In the example below, the number that we want is 97843: <object classid='clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000' codebase='http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,115,0' width='560' height='345'><param name='movie' value='http://screenr.com/Content/assets/screenr_1116090935.swf' /><param name='flashvars' value='i=97843' /><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true' /><embed src='http://screenr.com/Content/assets/screenr_1116090935.swf' flashvars='i=97843' allowFullScreen='true' width='560' height='345' pluginspage='http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer'></embed></object> 5. Place the unique id code between the Screenr tags like this: HTML Code:
[screenr]97843[/screenr] Check out the example below if you need additional help:

Brian, Great additions with the [screenr] tag and kudos for only requiring the screenr tag ID rather than the entire embed code.
Next question: Have you thought about a specific Screenr forum for community users to post their screenr's? The challenge I run into often is a way to collect my favorite screenr tips or the ability on Screenr to tag them as favorites. Plus, there's no way to search for an author. Having a specific Screenr forum can keep things organized, plus others can link to a conversation around that Screenr. Now that I'm thinking while writing, I can see where one tip or idea can spawn another and both Screenr's would be in the same thread of that post. Just sayin' ![]() |
