Default delete audio from slide?

I'm trying to delete audio from my slide and I can't seem to get it to go away.

I click "Import Audio" and click slide 1 where the audio is that I don't want and I click the remove button. It looks like it's gone and I click done. Then when I publish it, the audio is still there! or if I go back into "Import Audio" it's still there!

Any ideas how to get rid of the audio? I don't want any audio in the presentation.

Thanks in advance..

Hi Hillary. If you go into the Narration folder (inside your presentation's project folder) and delete the audio files, the audio should be gone once you publish again.

My project file doesn't have a narration folder inside, just a data and player folder

And in the data folder are just swf's, no audio files. Maybe it's embedding the audio into the swf it's outputting?

You are referring to your published files instead of your source files. Actually your PPT file should have a folder of the same name--which was created by AP. For example, "hillarysdemo.ppt" would have a folder called "hillarysdemo". Inside that folder, there should be a folder called "Narration." These files are your audio source files and are used when AP publishes to Flash. By getting rid of these source files, your published output should now be free of audio.

Let me know how this works...

Ah, I figured out the problem, I renamed the folder so I didn't recognize that as the Articulate project folder and instead was looking in the published folder. That did the trick! Thanks!

Will you only see the narration folder after you've published the presentation in Presenter?

Hi elearningdiva,

The narration folder can only be seen if you're using Presenter 5. That was back before we compiled everything into the PPTA file. For more information on the PPTA file, see the link below:
