Haven't found a way to unpackage Articulate zip file in Blackboard 9.1. Did the new release overlook this feature? or I didn't go to the right place? I can publish the file in 9.0

Welcome to the forums!
A quick glance on the BB forums I found the following link: Blackboard & Articulate - Ask Dr. C It would appear you need to select the special action option of "unpackage file after upload" Hope this helps. Additional forum help on BB: Search - Ask Dr. C

Please consult Blackboard on this. They should have resources available that can assist you with uploading SCORM content.

We are having the same problem. I cannot access an option to unpackage the file. Is there anyway to post a .zip file produced with Articulate to Blackboard 9.1 and have it launch the presentation when the student clicks the link?? Response to this before Friday would be VERY much appreciated!!

I found something that worked but did not meet my needs since I wanted to embed the presentation in an existing learning module. I can't find the post but it was in these forums. I'll try to insert a screen capture I did of the steps so I could have them in front of me to try. If that doesn't work, there were 15 steps and they started with creating a content area and then adding your zipped file. Good luck - hope this helps...

I just got off the phone with Blackboard tech support. This is possible, and not too difficult.
Save the Articulate .zip file somewhere on your computer. Unpackage the file on your computer (not in Blackboard) and note where the unpackaged folder was saved to. In BB 9.1, go into the content mgmt system and create a folder for organizational purposes only. Go into your new folder and choose "upload file" (not "upload package"). Drag/drop the folder you unpackaged earlier into the "upload file" area. You can also browse for it and attach the unpackaged folder. Complete the upload. Now you can link from within the course to the "player.htm" file found in the content mgmt collection. Allow users read rights to all files in that folder (which is another reason to create a folder and then upload within it). The presentation will play when users click the link. Yee Ha! |

I was so excited to see a potential solution, but when I get to the point of uploading files within the folder I created in the Content System, I get ERROR. Bummer...this was so easy with version 9.0 but is not working in 9.1. Do you have any other ideas that might help?

Since you're getting an upload error, I'd recommend contacting Blackboard Support.

I would also add to make sure you are trying to upload to a content area that has enough space to hold the file. We recently experienced this trying to upload to a "personal account" space -- ie -- the space that is allocated to the user that is logged in. Make sure you have an institution area where the space allocation is set to an appropriate level (unlimited is always good :-).
