I have been using Articulate for 2 years, currentlky using '09. O am getting ready to use audio in my presentations, and have created a test file. The problem is that when I import MP3 audio files for each slide, everything goes ok. If I try to open the Audio Editor, all of the file names that have audio imporeted are jumbled up on top of each other and no audio plays. If I remove the audio and then import it using Audio Editor, I can edit the files and set animations, but when I publish, there is no audio on the output.
Can anybody make a suggestion? Thanks, Mike |

I would take a look at this article:

Hi CaptainKidney,
On top of Justin's solution, you may need to verify that your IT group does not have the MP3 file type blocked by your anti-virus software. Often times, the anti-virus software will let you import the MP3 files, but they won't allow the actual creation of the MP3 file.

Great ideas, tried both of them, but no success. I converted the mp3 files to wav files and went into the Audio Editor. I imported the wav files and set up my animations. When I Saved and published the project, the audio was gone. Went back into Audio Editor, and no files. The MP3 and WAV files play when imported using the File Import option, but the Audio Editor does not see the files. Glad I am trying a practice project first.

Hi Mike,
If you find that the audio editor is not importing or saving audio as expected, it is possible that the Articulate Presenter Communicator is not enabled in PowerPoint. To resolve this issue, you can enable the Articulate Presenter Communicator in PowerPoint. Here’s how: Audio Editor does not import or save audio – Articulate Presenter ‘09 Knowledge Base

I looked at the COM Add-ins and found that the Articulate Presenter Communicator was not checked. When my administrator checked the box under his log in, PowerPoint has it set when he opens PowerPoint. However, when I run PowerPoint, it is still not checked. Do I need to be a "Power User" in order for this to function properly for me? I am a government contractor and they have our computers locked down pretty tight.
Thanks, Mike Last edited by CaptainKidney : 02-09-2010 at 10:09 AM. |

I would check this article out:
Enable disabled items in PowerPoint – Articulate Presenter ‘09 Knowledge Base You probably need to run PowerPoint as an administrator to enable the disabled application.
