Smile Skip to the next slide

Hello!
How do I add a button/shape/etc.. that allows the user to SKIP to the next slide. The button has to say "SKIP" and float over a Quizmaker Quiz. I've found that if I create a shape over the quizmaker, it covers up the shape... I've tried adding the shape to Quizmaker but I'm not clear on how to make it skip to the next slide within that software.

Any help wold be much appreciated!

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

You might be able to accomplish this using a series of techniques. The first is this:

#Articulate Tab that jumps to any slide you choose | Frame; Entered.

Then, you could insert that SWF file into your master slide:

You can create a slide master with a background image for questions in your Quizmaker '09 quiz. You can also create a reusable Quizmaker Template that includes your modified slide master for new quizzes. Here's how:
Create a reusable slide master with background image in Quizmaker ‘09 – Articulate Quizmaker ‘09 Knowledge Base

====

You may need to contact the author of the first article for information on creating an SWF file that will advance to the next slide.

Brian!! Thank you (again) you're amazing! You've helped me twice this week already (and it's only Tuesday).

I get the button addition - and the jumper file - not sure what the codes are to change the xml file. I've posted a question on the creators site to see what can be done.

Thanks again!

Hi! I found an easier way to skip through - I've used your suggestion of editing the master layout in Quiz master. I created a flash button and added the script:

on (release)
{
_global.artPlayNextSlide();
}

on the object and exported it as a ActionScript 1.0 SWF ver 6. Went into the master layout in Quiz master, added the swf file. When published, in presenter it works exactly as I needed it to. So I can have the skip exactly where I require it. The jumper script works great but its on every slide...

Thanks!!! All your suggestions worked (as I merged them all together).

Thank you again brian!

Hi! sorry to use this old thread.

I currently have 7 quizzes in 133 slides and i wished to skip the quizzes as well.
Having read all the past messages from this thread, i'm still having some difficulties.
How do I add-on jumper.zip? Do i need to place them somewhere into the main program folder?

Thanks.

Hi Kupo - do you want to skip them all together or give the learner the option of skipping them?

If your quizzes are in Presenter, you can work with Branching in the Slide Properties to provide that option.

If that's not what you're asking about please post back!

Thanks and welcome to the forums!

David

Hi David, thanks for the welcome!

Using Branching in the slide properties might not suit to my liking as all my quizzes has a passing rate to meet.
I've actually added a flash button in the quiz's master slide using seymoore's method but to no avail.

Okay, thanks for the follow up.

Once you start adding your own Flash buttons/code is the time I will step back and let the experts take over:-)
