Default Animated background?

I was wondering if there was a way to insert an .swf in Powerpoints Slide Master and have it animate in the background of each silde.

Thanks.

I've tried this and found out that animations made in the Master Slide will not display on the slides. You can create the animation and place it on each and every slide, but my experience has been that when the slide scales my animation is very hard to place and look right.

AP does not support insertion of SWFs on the masters, but if you have a copy of Flash, you can create an SWF file that replaces the master (bgsm1.swf). I used it to improve the appearance of static artwork on the master and it has worked flawlessly for me. I see no reason that animations can't be used doing this approach...although it might be a little distracting. The dimensions of my Flash file was 576 x 481.

Of course, this is technically not supported by AP...

Phil

A little off topic, but you can also do the same for the logo. I added an animated swf for the logo that was 222x700. You can play around with the height. The logo pushes the menu out of the way. You can play around with the flash functionality.

If you didn't need the side bar, it's also a neat way to dress up the side.

Here's a sample image. Plus that into the logo and see what happens.

Exactly what I needed, thanks. The animation I'm using is very subtle.

If you're willing to share your finished product, adampgdg, it would be great to see! This sounds like a very cool approach and a great way to customize what you can do with Articulate Presenter!
