Good ideas.. I built a lot of that into the outline that I use with the full skin replacement. I should go back and add it to this one for folks who want to use it by itself.
I will add it to my list. Thanks. |

I looked at this in Google Chrome and I didn't see anything like a progress tracker. Any thoughts as I am interested in this idea.

Just saw this in a vendor course . . . a course progress meter that was a linear bar with a percentage. As you went through the course, the bar grew (against a tick mark scale) and so did the % of the course that you had viewed.
At a glance I could see how much of the course I had completed (or had left to complete). Got me wishing something like this was an option in AP. Have also seen something similar in web meeting playback tools. No percentage but a growing bar that indicated how much of the recorded web meeting had played. The tick marks on the scale also corresponded to slides presented. Clicking a tick mark moved one to that slide (and accompanying narration for it). Combining the two would be a neat option in AP . . . ![]()

One idea also might be to make the entire progress bar a single graphic. Place on master slide and then use a single graphic on the slide level to cover the progress bar.
For each slide, just reduce the width of the cover graphic to manually reveal progress. The benefit to this method is you reduce your on-slide graphics (especially important for larger courses) which decreases publishing time. An intelligent progress meter would be a good feature request. Adding one myself. Articulate Support - Request a Feature David |

I'm going add my own feature request now. I'd do the graphic workaround but knowing how things usually work with sponsors/SMEs, I don't want the usual last minute "we-need-to-add-(or subtract)-five-more pages-to the-course-and-can-you-get-it-done-by-tomorrow-and-in-production" thing. And then have to futz with progress bar on top of that. And, of course, I'm lazy sometimes. ![]()

Yeah, I've hesitated adding course meters but I have done them on a module level.
Sometimes for basic feedback and others to actually show progress. But you're right, with the number of revisions that go into any course, manual course meters aren't the best place to put our energy. Of course, you might be able to open a new req for a "Progress Meter Specialist, II" :-) |

It'd be nice if there were automatic progress meters for those projects that just seem to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on . . . and no one can make a decision--or else the entire world plus the heavenly host have to bless everything. And did I say go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on . . . ? ![]()
