Hmmm, just brainstorming out loud . . . wonder if it would be neat to have one of these products integrated in AP? Go to record audio in AP and have the option to hear what the script (slide notes) sounded with the option to purchase. Or integrate it with the product as an "AP Plus" version?

Oh yeah! And then an entire series of premium voice filters, similar to ringtones, could be released.

You could have the "Sean Connery" vocalizer for more formal reads, "Sara Silverman" for more informal and so on.

Gerry you're on to something!

Well, I was only brainstorming out loud . . . One can dream, can't one?

Now, if you could have a choice of voice tracks at the beginning of the course . . . let's see the wife would take the Sean Connery and I'll take the Kate Beckinsdale . . . might drive up the completion rate by making the e-learning more "sexy."

Geez, never thought I'd use the word "sexy" here . . .

I use iSpeech.org. They have the best voices I've been able to find, an easy to use, clean interface, a blog podcast widget that's free, and an API.

I agree with you Gerry, it would be cool to have a Sean Connery voice I wonder how much he would charge to be the voice talent when TTS companies create their software!

OK just playing around with iSpeech and it does sound pretty good.

Are you thinking of using it for entire course? parts of course? feedback? Just curious how you'd use it.
