Hi,
I am very new to this software and I learning as I go, so please forgive me if my questions seem simple. I have finished a presentation and published it in the CD format. However, when I place the CD in a computer for viewing it does not start automatically. Is this a computer problem or is there something I should be doing during the publishing phase? I would prefer the CD start automatically so that our customers don't have to start it manually. Thanks for the help. |

Hi In Tune. When publishing with the CD option, an autorun.inf is created--which tells Windows to immediately launch the "Launch_Presentation.exe" file when the CD is inserted. If you change the name of the EXE file, the autorun.inf file won't work unless you modify that file to reflect the name change. Also, keep in mind that many folks may have the CD autoplay feature disabled in Windows--which means regardless of what you do, the autorun file won't work and users will need to manually launch the EXE.

I'm not a Mac guy, but I believe that the EXE published via the CD option will not work on the Mac...unless you're running Parallels or Bootcamp. But the Web option should run fine in MacOS.
