I have a piece of content which is essentially just two slides. One title slide and a second slide with a Flash movie contained within. Is there a way to increase the viewing size of the movie without effecting the quality of the picture?? Is there a way to size up and keep the integrity of the Flash content??
At this time, the quality of the video is fine, but the screen is too small for a useful viewing experience. Thxs to all |

Have you maximized the viewing area by using the ArticulateSlide Properties Manager? Open its window, select slide 2, and click in the "Change View" cell. Click the drop down arrow and select "slide only."
![]() Alternatively, you can have your movie open in a new window rather than embed it in the slide. |

Hi Karina - Thank you very much for the response.
I tried both methods and still the window appears too small...do you have any other possible suggestions I might try? When I use the slide only option, the window where the video plays does appear to be a little larger, but it still is too small for our users. When I manually enlarge the video, the quality degrades to the point where the video is hard to watch. When I configure the setting so that the video opens in a seperate browser window, the screen still remains small even when the window is maximized. I am likely missing a minor point since I know many people are using embedded video successfully without any sizing issues. Any ideas?? Big Thxs again |

Not sure how you're enlarging your video. Was your original produced in Flash? You might need to go back to the source .fla file & change the size there in order not to lose quality. If you original was in another format (.avi, .mov, etc.) and converted, you might want to take the original output and use a tool like Sorenson Squeeze to publish it to Flash--it gives you a lot of control over size & quality. Other than that, I don't have any suggestions. Good luck.

The video was originally a.WMV that I converted into Flash. At first, I tried to use Video Encoder to convert the .WMV to Flash, but it took hours and never completed. I then used a different program which converted the .WMV to Flash in about 15-20 mins. I embedded the Flash video into an Articulate Presentation using Presenter. The video is fine, but the screen to view the video is tiny (its actually kind of funny how small it is
). When I manually try to resize the screen, the quality of the video degrades. So, I was looking for some was to make the screen bigger. It may just be that this isn't going to be possible given the source video. Thanks again for all of your help, much appreciated ![]() |
