Hi
I have a 10, 000 user Articulate Online Account and I'm having massive issues with server response times. Many of my users are having dropouts and time outs. All accounts are accessed in Australia and the slides and audio and visual but no flash, just images. So far we have only had about 100 users login in and we're having this drama. Need help urgently!!! Cheers |

Hi there, and welcome to the forums!
Is there a lot of video in your content? Have you submitted a case about this issue yet? That's probably going to be the best way for us to look into this for you since we can login to your account, look at the specifics, etc. Please include as much detail as possible when you submit the case, including your account URL and login information.

Hi Intrator, and welcome to the forums!
Are you experiencing issues with Articulate Online? As I noted above, your best avenue is to submit a support case if you are. There are currently no known issues with Articulate Online. Typically, any slowness occurs due to the user's bandwidth and/or if the size of the content is too large for the user's Internet connection to handle.

With respect of the size of the content: can you provide any explanation to what is an acceptable size before you see performance issues (and similarly what is too large). Is there any metrics that you can share with us: e.g limit on number of concurrent users from a single location accessing your Online site while accessing a Flash session of #MB before a significant performance degradation is felt (for the sake of simplicity you will have to assume that we don’t have bandwidth limitation when accessing the cloud) Many thanks |

Thanks for clarifying. There are no bandwidth or concurrent user limitations from an Articulate Online infrastructure standpoint. The infrastructure is incredibly robust and is capable of handling thousands of concurrent users.
We have customers with many thousands of users in locations all over the world, and we've never hit any capacity issues. Additionally, we're always monitoring the service to ensure we always provide infrastructure well above the current system load and potential upper limit. From a content perspective, there is a single-item upload limit of 500 MB per content item, but that's a lot bigger than most customers will ever need. Again, any performance issues you might see would typically be on the user's end. However, Articulate Presenter is also designed to optimize content delivery over the web, by delivering each slide individually (and pre-buffering a couple slides ahead - with the exception of inserted quizzes, interactions, and inserted Flash movies, which load when you hit the slide containing them) rather than downloading the entire course at launch.
