Mass deletion of Workspaces - How To?

We have a need to delete multiple workspaces, i.e. most if not all of them. How does one (perhaps on the server level) delete all the workspaces on our site and start over? We have “shared” multiple objects on multiple workspaces and going down the list and deleting them one at a time is tedious and sometimes impossible because of the cross linked course objects.

As usual your sage advice is greatly appreciated.
