I'm trying to figure this out. I've got (according to the help menus) Presenter 5.2.131 Pro in Power Point 2003 (11.8110.8107) SP2, Engage v1.1.1022.2149, and I'm running Windows XP 5.1.2600 SP 2 build 2600.
I'm trying to publish from Engage into Presenter and get the, "You must have Presenter 5.1 pro or later" message/error. I also have a busy IT department that knows nothing about creative stuff and is probably already a bit annoyed with the amount of time they have had to put into getting this working. So my questions are: 1) What is the deal with this error? 2) There are a lot of solutions listed above. All of them seem to take a considerable amount of IT resources and none of them seem to be "THE" fix. So what should I have my IT department do? 3) Does anybody have any other advice on this issue? PS: My machine is mostly locked down. So I can't do any of these things myself. |

The reason for all of the steps is that the issue could be due to a variety of reasons. The solution is organized from the simplest fix to the most complex fix. You can check disabled items with a limited account so you can do that in advance of contacting your IT dep't.

Thanks. I had figured out checking the disabled items and if it was something that simple it wouldn't be so frustrating. I'll see what I can do with the others.

So my IT guy came by and then of course we were worried that the key for Presenter won't work because it has been installed on too many machines.

Okay. Done all these things and it still doesn't work. I'm really having a rough go of it with Presenter, Quizmaker and Engage.
I really think you guys should either make them actually work together or just give up on that and let them stand alone! I'm very frustrated with all my Articulate products! |

Have you tried filing a support request? It is free and I have found Articulate customer support to be very responsive...

They should work all together as expected so if you are having an issue where they aren't then please submit a case.
