I had this problem when trying to the Articulate Trial on a reformatted hard disk on which I had already installed the Trial previously. I never resolved the problem. Installshield just told me to try another computer which wasn't much help !

Hi comegalletas, and welcome to the forums!

I'm sorry you ran into this error - and sorry, too, Dave, that you had this issue. Unfortunately, this is a tricky one and there are only a few work-arounds.

Here's more info:

Quote:
While attempting to use a product protected by the Activation Service an error 310 (Unable to install an evaluation license) may occur. This indicates that the Activation Service is unable to read or write information to the machine necessary to track the evaluation.

This problem is generally machine-specific, though it may be related to your specific permissions given to you by your IT department.

To correct this issue you can try one of the following:

1) Have an IT person log onto your computer and install the trial version for you. If it is fully functional you should then be able to log onto the computer and use the trial version.

2) Download the trial on another computer.

3) Purchase a full version of the software. Articulate offers a 30-day money back guarantee on any software. You can order a full version here:

Sounds like you have to be the "administrator" on your machine in order to get the license activation to work properly. Have you tried logging in as the administrator & installing the software?

this mistake can be due to the fact that at the time of the installation of the version Trial AP5,
the admin network didn't deactivate the protection permanent anti-virus on the station, before installation, this protection prevents the writing in the basis of register and the installation of service on the station, even with the right administrator, it is necessary to deactivate the anti-virus permanent protection on the station before installing the software Articulate, to avoid this type of problem, this some either the operating system, with the virus protections present residents.
