Greetings - My first post, please be gentle.
I have searched and can't find what I am looking for. I am hoping to be able to use the Flashcard interaction in conjunction with a test. In other words, I would like to be able to show an answer, have the participant type or select what the answer is on the other side of the card and do not reveal the other side until they have the correct answer. I hope I am making sense. Is there a way to tie a test/quiz to the Flashcard interaction? Thanks!

Hi Kevin,
Thinking a fill in the blank modeled after a flash card might work. I'm attaching a very quick sample for you to look at. It's a 2 slide question, Fill in the Blank. The first slide asks the question, the 2nd slide provides the answer. Both slides use a flash card graphic and the fill in the blank resides over the flash card. You could duplicate the Question1 group and repeat for as many questions you have. Can you take a look at the source file and see if that will help? Hey David -
Wow. Thanks for the quick response. I love this. Yes, it will indeed work. Only a couple more questions from a newbie. - Is there a way to not advance to the next slide unless the correct answer is entered? - How did you do this? Meaning, how can I create the same thing except with different colors, etc. Sorry. I am just not sure how you made the "card" look in the actual question slide. Thanks much again.

Hi KevinD,
Here's the answer to your first question: Screenr - @jeanettebrooks: How to give users a retry option if they get a question wrong in your #Articulate Quizmaker quiz In regards to your design question, I'll let David field that one.

Hi Kevin,
I spent a little more time on the template. This is actually a really fun example. I've updated the template (see attached) and included a quick screencast on how I put it together. Screenr - @elearning: Creative use for Quizmaker's Fill in the Blank Interaction - Animated flash cards! I hope it helps but please let us know if you have any questions! David (Thanks go to Brian B. and Tom K. for input, brainstorming and creative direction) Last edited by DavidAnderson : 06-11-2010 at 11:40 AM. |

HI Dave,
That turned out cool. Thought I would respond to give it some more prominence. Joe |

Thanks Joe. That little activity turned out to be a great example of how we all learn from each other in the community.
