One the Engage files in my lesson has a large graphic that is set to open in a new window when the Eyeglass (or image) is clicked. The function does not work when I publish it. I get a Web Browser error box that says Cannot find (...the path name/imageZoom0.jpg.) Make sure the path or Internet addrss is correct.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi glendawarn and welcome to the forums!

It sounds like the large graphic may not have completed uploading. Can you verify the image uploaded correctly?

Can you verify the image is in your published folder?

Also, you could try re-publishing the file and using a new name. There's a small chance caching is interfering with recognizing the files.

I can verify that the image is there (i.e. engage_471) and run it from the engage.html file in the folder. So I know the swf is working, though it does not display in the published CD or LMS versions. I get the error message that it cannot be found and to check the path name.

David,

I set up a new Presenter file, created a new Engage file (using the tab template) on one slide, and loaded the graphic and set it to open in a new window when clicked. I am still getting a web browser error message that the imageZoom1 cannot be found, to check the path.

I should have mentioned that it was working two days ago, before I downloaded the new updates for Presenter 09. (I didn't think that would have anything to do with it.) I can't figure out what I am doing differently that is making it not work. Do I need to reload Engage or Presenter?

Thanks

Hi - Well, the updates shouldn't cause the issue. I'm now learning to thinking your image might be the issue.

Does the issue only occur with that one image? or doesn't it matter which images you use?

If you like, you can post your Engage file to the forum along with the image in question and I'd be more than happy to try it on my end.

But to your other question, Yes, I'd download and update all 3 applications in the Studio. Just so they're all current. But I don't think that's the cause this issue.

Hi Dave! In our session at UTI on 1/13, Tom mentioned that you can add an engage interaction as a flash movie so you can move and scale it. I've been trying to do this, and the interaction shows that it's loading but it doesn't actually display so a user can review it.

I went to Articulate > Insert > Flash Movie, and browsed to the interaction's published folder, where I selected the .swf file. Is there something else I can do?

Thanks!
